Re: Baja accident
Thanks homies
Well, i had a killer rc kill switch in this car, but i thought i dont need that, because nothing like this has happened before, so i sold my killer-rc kill swith few weeks backword, and this happened just after that
That kill switch should be in every car, right from the beginning..
I must buy one asap..
And i made my baja new throthle linkage too, same as yamadude has..
This kind problem should not exist any more, after this new thortle linkage...

Re: Baja accident
I must agree with they should be installed in every car. Had an "accident" the other day while testdriving a rebuilt car and the batteries in the transmitter died. Didnt have the killswitch installed but i was saved by the built in failsafe in the reciever. Luckily i wasnt playing around in sand or something and having the linkage stuck at WOT or something, it just stopped and turn left so i just ran out and killed it =)
As i read somewhere, "These cars arent toys, they are weapons of childdestruction!" A bit scary line but all so true droven in the wrong hands....

Re: Baja accident
You are so right, these cars are not toys, weighting way over 10kg and can be very fast too.
I hit that car to my ankle, maybe about 10-15km/h, but it still hurts like hell.
That mass what that car weights can do some series damage if speed is higher..
Dont want to try that out
Next option part is to get new killer, maybe killer rc or uber rc..
But something what kills the engine on transmitter button..

Re: Baja accident
I made my baja totally new thorttle/brake linkage...
No more those same problems what that stock linkage will do..
These were the parts i used on this project.
This pile of pits and peaces i worked this new linkage.
That stock linkage problem is this plastic peace what is marked on red arrow..
That will wear out in time, and start to collect sand and other depriss on side of it, and then linkage will get stuck, like mine did.
That second gray thorttle rod is bicycle spoke, i nicked that of the abanded bicycle, or i guess it is abanded because it has not been used for a years, or i hope so
Kent from killer rc send me a message and asked if they can use that video as a promo in theyr netsite

I told Kent that is ok to use the video, hi gives me -15$ of the price on the web store, so i got it quite nice price, even though hi could give it for free
But -15$ is better than nothing...
